Message exactly like the 300ZX twin turbo piston and the oil squirter is aimed at that hole. The NA squirter for the Supra aims at the same location (although I have no idea what the Supra NA piston looks like and whether or not it has a hole that the oil is squirted towards).

It seems that the advantage of cooling the piston is more relevant to boosted situations, or the 300ZXTwin turbo and the Toyota Supra Turbo would not have their oil squirters aimed to the pistons. Whether the piston is expanding or not or is high silicon or not, heat is heat.

The reason I made my decision to go with the stockers is because of an indepth conversation I had with the president of JUN U.S.A. (Todd). He is the son of the owner of JUN Japan and was intimately involved in all of their high HP Z's that ran on the salt flats, etc. (As a side note, I have had some very interesting discussions with Todd with respect to the Z suspension and some exotic coil over setups). At any rate, when I brought this issue up to Todd, he knew EXACTLY what I was talking about and asked me not to make the switch to the NA squirters. Again, as a qualifier I had this particular conversation with him more than a year ago, but I seem to recall that having too much oil coating the cylinder walls resluted in some very specifics problems. I believe that one of the issues was that the oil had a tendency to work itself into the combustion chambers.

Now, the Bonneville Z's that they ran had the stock twin turbo squirters and that is about as much of a long hard stress on a motor as could possibly be put together.

Another qualifier here is that Todd was specifically talking to me about the JUN pistons I had purchased. The are made by Cosworth and I have no idea whether they are high or low silicon. Todd's answer to the JUN piston may not be applicable to you and your piston.
